President Joe Biden announced Wednesday the release of the first round of funding for a nationwide electric vehicle charging network, financing the construction of stations in 35 states.
Biden has been a big proponent of EVs, signing into law incentives to encourage consumers to buy them and companies to build them. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law included $7.5 billion for a national EV charging network while the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act both included provisions fostering development of the industry in the United States.
Tax credits included in the Inflation Reduction Act are meant to give Americans incentives to purchase electric vehicles, including to buy used electric vehicles for the first time.
Will Biden's series of initiatives stimulate consumers to buy electric vehicles?

J L80 : If it's a good deal for the consumer, nobody should have to provide incentives or punishments as consumers will WANT to purchase the product or service on their own. Using tax payer funds to provide incentives is wrong. Why not use tax money to buy everyone a mansion, or a Ferrari or meals at the French Laundry? Where does it end. Tax money is spent for people to be able to exercise their right to vote, but not their right to keep & bare arms, why? I'm not driving a vehicle that other people can control remotely for multiple obvious reasons.
