Two Low-Risk Investments to cope with Inflation
Although U.S. Inflation in Aug 2022 have beaten estimates by rising to 8.3%, one can still buy up to $10,000 worth of I-Bonds per year to help them cope with the high inflation.
Unlike in the U.S., there is no I-Bonds in Singapore. Also, the saving deposits and fixed deposit rates are not high enough to match the Singapore Inflation rate of 7% (Jul 2022)!
However, Mooers living in Singapore can still deposit their money into the following two low-risk products to cope with inflation.
They are:
1. RHB High Yield Plus Accounts
2. Money Market Funds in MooMoo
1. RHB High Yield Plus Accounts
2. Money Market Funds in MooMoo
RHB High Yield Plus Accounts.
Currently, RHB is offering two High Yield Accounts, namely, High Yield Saving Plus Account and Premier Plus Account. Both accounts cater to different age groups and Mooers can invest in them to get up to 5.5% p.a. interest rate.

Fullerton SGD Cash Fund
CSOP USD Money Market Fund
This is different from the accounts offer by RHB as the one by RHB is for SGD currency, but MooMoo has two currency options: SGD and USD.
Besides the two currencies offered, MMF in MooMoo enable Mooers to use them immediately for their investment purchases when the right opportunity arrives. (Do take note of the redemption rules.)
