Before you sell your Xpeng this year.
I know many of us who hold Xpeng stock had some PTSD after last 3 months. From $35 to $14. I am also holding some stock for long term.
But before you decide to sell Xpeng this year I like you to think about it.
- G9 is launch today. When it first open for preorder one month ago within 24 hour there are 20,000 orders. How many G9 are sold in this one month?
- Xpeng is not doing badly, it is performing somewhat the same as Nio and Li. Base on these 3 months delivery, we know Q3 is fked. But with the G9 orders that are delivering from Oct onwards, the rocket is likely coming from Q4 Oct onwards. These deliveries will start to show up in delivery report.
- The sedan range Xpeng is facing great competition from BYD and others, the margin is low. But the SUV range on the other hand is different, even Xpeng at the launch announced the SUV G9 is likely to over take P7. Not only SUV margin is higher, competition is smaller.
You already hold Xpeng for so long seeing it drop more than 50%, if you are a medium and long term investors whats more is a few more months? Especially Xpeng is pretty close to its book price already. This is just my amateur opinion.
