Fund Investment Theme
If I were to invest in funds in the long term, I would prefer Technology theme Equity Funds due to the sector’s important strategic relationship with a country’s productivity growth and its necessity in the achievement of global green initiatives. Therefore, companies in the Technology sector have huge growth and earnings potential in the future as a result of the various market opportunities that they can thrive in. A specific fund that I have in mind is the $BGF World Technology Fund(LU1852331112.MF$ as the fund invests largely in established technological companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Visa and etc. Not only do they have strong financials to help them weather through tough times, they also have technological moats that give them pricing power in the market.
On the other hand, if I were to invest in funds in the short term, I would pick Money Market Funds due to their high liquidity, stable returns with low risks and potential higher yield due to the increasing interest rate environment. I would pick $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund(SG9999005961.MF$ and $CSOP USD Money Market Fund(SGXZ96797238.MF$ to invest in as their returns are decent and their currency is relatively strong at the moment.
My current fund investment strategy is to allocate most of my portfolio into Money Market Funds and the remaining in Technology theme Equity Funds and whenever there is an opportunity in the market, I will readjust the ratio of these two funds in my portfolio accordingly.
