The fed made a mistake, their actions of destorying demand at this current level will result in deflation. plus With a strong US dollar currently. other countries who are required to pay their debts in USD needs to pay more. US companies selling their products overseas are going to earn less.
all in all, the fed made a wrong call, and the president that says “the stock market doesnt not symbolise the state of the US economy” either is lying blatantly or is having a hard time staying awake due to old age.
what to do now:
- stop dumping shares at a loss
- stop buying without understanding the fundamentals
- keep some cash
- switch to FD and govt bonds for those who dont know what to do
- for those that knows, use options to hedge your current positions
