I agree, in Florida they like to permit us to death. to buy a home you need to start with an impact fee 2000 per bdrm, then they charge 75 for a drive way, 3500 for septic fee, 50 for a well, property tax, etc, etc. before you hammer the first nail you've spent over 7k in fees and inspections. worse yet I'm no where near the beach.
