  • dwir : Not rigged. I wonder why the price isn't budging? Sideways trading occurs in every stock. DYODD

  • doctorpot1 dwir : it is because of the buyout deal... Elon is buying it for $54.20... so it doesn't move... if will move only when the deal looks like it is going to fail or the deal is almost confirmed.

  • dwir doctorpot1 : did you forget about the 60m volume drop? we only moved 11m today. when the stock jumped to 52, it was almost 70m that day, and 60+m the following with a steady taper. based on institutional holdings, I think it's fair that everyone is waiting this out. you sell, they're buying. as soon as it moons, they're shorting it. follow what they're doing and move before they do. not trading advice, only something I've learned over the years.

  • doctorpot1 dwir : volume looks normal to me, when the news that Elon is buying again, everyone have to adjust their position so huge volume... cause that shifted the probability of the buyover greatly, those who short at 40 now have to derisk, etc.

For a buyout stock, the price just move accordingly to buyout price - risk premium of the deal failing... 0 chance of fail, price will be close to 54.2 and the higher the chance of failure, the higher the risk premium.. it's a simple model.

  • dwir doctorpot1 : and what about Musk's plan for Twitter? have you heard nothing of that? TA says we're bouncing off of resistance. so you can do you, and I'll do mine.

  • doctorpot1 dwir : what has Musk future plan for Twitter has anything to do with Twitter shareholder? He is buying over Twitter and taking it private at 54.20. Once the deal is done, there is no more Twitter in the stock market. All shareholders' shares will be sold at 54.20 each to Musk. That’s the end for Twitter shareholders.

  • dwir doctorpot1 : then why do you care what happens? you can choose to get out or not. that consequence is on you. I'm sorry that you don't know why the market does what it does. have a talk with a lawyer. that's how I found out.

  • doctorpot1 dwir : I'm getting the impression that you are thinking this X.com plan and your TA is suggesting Twitter will go to 60, 70, 80s... to the moooonn.... so just trying to clarify some facts, maybe have a read on the buyout document. It doesn't matter to me, you do you...

But here is a post linking to a harvard lawyers take and within that post is another post on another lawyers take. in case you are interested, but you do you.

doctorpot1 :Harvard Law Professor thinks it is likely that Musk will have to buy Twitter

  • dwir : that's now how I'm viewing it. I'm expecting to cap at most 60 and that's being generous. I'm aware of what's happening. thanks for thinking I'm not paying attention.

  • dwir doctorpot1 : meant to post it here, sorry. that's now how I'm viewing it. I'm expecting to cap at most 60 and that's being generous. I'm aware of what's happening. thanks for thinking I'm not paying attention.
