Hitachi Shipbuilding <7004>is rapidly switching back and forth, showing an emphasis on writing off the portion that was dragged down by the previous day's overall turbulent market. After the transaction ended on the 26th, it was announced that the marine engine business would be spun off and a new company would be established, attracting purchases that are expected to improve profit structure through management structure reforms. The new company plans to receive a 35% investment from Imabari Shipbuilding (Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture), which is one of the major shipbuilders. Thus, it is poised to improve the marine engine business, which has become unprofitable. <6501>Also, Hitachi Zosen currently has no capital ties with Hitachi, Ltd., and since it has withdrawn from the shipbuilding business, there is a movement toward changing the company name.
