Oil and gas stocks

Looking to put in a little cash into oil and gas. Been hearing about the rise of gas and how it’s gonna start up again, so I figure get in before it’s jumped. Just curious if y’all think an etf such as $Invesco Dynamic Energy Exploration &Production Etf (PXE.US)$ , $Ishares Trust Us Oil&Gas Explor & Prod (IEO.US)$ or $First Trust Natural Gas ETF (FCG.US)$ are preferred over something like $BP PLC (BP.US)$ or $Chevron (CVX.US)$ .
