I invest to make time to do things that I like to do (such as help people, travel the world, spend time with love one etc). How to achieve? Through FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early). FIRE is easier said than done as you need to increase income and reduce expenses at the same time.
@Syuee
My investment objective is to be financially independent and my real goal is early retirement. My plan is to maximize income first and savings second.
As my income increases, I also saved more ( both dollar amounts and percentage ) Best to focus on two things :
1 ) Living way below our means
2 ) Investing on the side for long-term growth.
@HopeAlways
My investment objective is primarily capital appreciation which emphasises on long-term growth. This involves holding stocks for many years and letting them grow within my portfolio. At the same time, I will be reinvesting dividends to purchase more shares.
@HuatLady
For me, the key elements are:
1) To utilise budgetting to help us cut down cost and help us spend our money wisely.
2) It would be smart to build and create a daily plan for life from young.
3) Set aside a portion for investment as we all know that inflation and other calamities
@HuatEver
In reality, it takes years to set up your financial life because it will be a huge mistake to throw your money into the market before you have taken the time to map out your investment objectives. Henceforth, I learn to develop a plan and tick off a check-list before I find myself putting risks on my money.
@Milk The Cow
My investing objective is to get rich all along. It because I need to help me solve most of my problems that has been for decades, that's all. It's not really to be happy or to travel.

Feel free to raise your question below.
ZnWC : Big tech companies ( $Tesla (TSLA.US)$, $Apple (AAPL.US)$, $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$, $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ etc) didn't meet earning expectation and share prices plunged. What is your immediate reaction - sell to cut losses, buy the dip or hold until the price reverse? What's your outlook about these big companies? Did you change your investment goal?
