How much will I earn with 'X' investment in the Cash Fund/ Cash Plus scheme!
$Fullerton SGD Cash Fund (SG9999005961.MF)$ I have seen a lot of people discussing returns offered by these 'relatively' risk free instruments to park their extra cash. So I decided to create this chart for my use. Happy to post it here, I think it can be beneficial to all who want to quickly see what the earnings are like. The initial calculations assume you don't reinvest the profit. Subsequently we look at monthly compounding the principal.
Read: *Investment=Yearly/ Monthly/ Daily Return
*Scenario A: Assume stable return 3% (APY)
1000$: 30$/2.5$/ 0.082$
10,000$: 300$/25$/ 0.82$
100,000$: 3000$/250$/ 8.2$
*Scenario B: Assume stable return 2.5% (APY)
1000$: 25$/2.08$/ 0.068$
10,000$: 250$/20.8$/ 0.68$
100,000$: 2500$/208$/ 6.8$
*Scenario C: Assume stable return 2% (APY)
1000$: 20$/1.67$/ 0.055$
10,000$: 200$/16.7$/ 0.55$
100,000$: 2000$/167$/ 5.48$
If you compound monthly interest and don't withdraw for 1 year: (Assume monthly reinvestment of returns and annual stable interest of 3%)
With 1000$: 1054$
With 10,000$: 10,608$
With 100,000$: 106,083$
As compounding is happening daily, you may actually end up with even more! 😀 However all investments have inherent risk, please do your own due diligence. 🙏 It will also make sense to compare with high interest savings account 🏦 that may offer more liquidity however at lesser interest rates. It is important to remember though bank interest rates may be more stable while these fund rates can go
