Popular on moomoo OP : Time to be rewarded for your great insights and knowledge: "Thanksgiving meal preps, thinking about family, and the positives to maybe a tough year for some."
HopeAlways : 2022 has reminded us that the world is unpredictable and that uncertainty is part of life. Accepting this and ensuring our investments align with our risk tolerance will make investing a less stressful and more rewarding experience. Any investment decisions during these challenging times should be made within the context of our overall financial situation. Market volatility can lead to impulsive decisions driven by fear or greed. When in doubt, pause and remember that smart investing is strategic and planned. There is no need to rush.
Syuee : My family is too scattered geographically to count on a Thanksgiving Day gathering.
I like my Thanksgiving gathering to be small. And full of people I love and cherish dearly.
Yearly, I have attempted to make flaky pie pastry, properly roast a turkey, and how to generate great gravy from pan drippings.
Personally, Thanksgiving is a low key, relaxing and food-filled family celebration.
My family serves stuffed acorn squash, mashed potatoes with cranberry gravy, baked sweet potatoes, my favourite baked apples and a fresh roast pumpkin pie.
We also make a turkey for those who expect turkey and a stuffing casserole with traditional oyster stuffing.
Usually, I will wake up before dawn on the day after Thanksgiving to go shopping with my friends. That’s Black Friday.
I feel like one of the best ways to spend Thanksgiving is to serve others as well.
There are usually a lot of local places to help serve, through churches, food banks, pet shelters, etc … This shall be a more meaningful way to spend this special holiday.
Spending the day with our family, close friends and having a wonderful time every Thanksgiving is truly a gift from above.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone !
Syuee HopeAlways : To guard against uncertainty, we can be more selective about our investment exposures.
Look beyond the obvious and explore something different to build a stronger, more diverse portfolio.
Sometimes, we need that risk to beget returns : some of the riskiest investments have a chance to capture the highest rewards.
HopeAlways Syuee : Thanksgiving is about much more than just stuffing our faces and enjoying a paid holiday. Thanksgiving is a time where we are reminded to give thanks to the people around us that make our lives worth living. It is about gratitude, and this once-a-year holiday reminds us how good it is really to be grateful for the things we have.
WickedLove : As for the Thanks Giving season, it's hard this year to be thankful. I have lost the last of my family this past two years, became houseless and my health has gone to... a better place it seems. even still I am thankful for my son. hopefully we will be able to make our favorite part of turkey day food... Pie.
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas, and Happy holidays.
VCSuccess HopeAlways : As investors, we also have things to be thankful for. Investing can sometimes seem like an arduous and seemingly thankless process but if we dig beneath the surface, there are many things we can be thankful on Thanksgiving.
HuatLady Syuee : In the past 2 years, most of us have unfortunately missed our traditional Thanksgiving gatherings caused by the Coronavirus pandemic constraints. I am extremely thankful that I will be sharing this annual meal with my beloved family this year. I look forward to planning and preparing a memorable meal with them. In actual fact we don't spend too lavishly on a grand meal, but we will truly find the food appetising. Thanks to the ambience of our unconditional love and closely knitted bonding, we will definitely be gifted with the full voltage of boundless Joys and Blessings. For this I am eternally grateful.
HuatEver HopeAlways : Have to applaud you for your positive mindset to take full control of the volatile market and accept such unpredictable situations as challenges . Smart investing should be stress free and this is one great strategy to learn from.
George Newberry45 : I belive holiday s are fir doing the things you love with the ones you love take the day off relax and injoy peace love and good food the little things in life are always the most inportent
