In my previous note:
I redeemed cash fund and while waiting to make do a buy, i suddenly found “cash” and “cash withdrawable” became zero because “smartsave” saw that there’s a bit of money in the cash and did an automatic investment. I had to re-do the entire redemption process. How to prevent thia from happensing again?
HOW TO: Fund > CashPlus > Manage SmartSave > Pause > Choose how many days to pause.
For me once I choose Pause (resume anytime), because I have decided what to buy. Once trade is done I can “Activate” and “UnPause” the SmartSave.

Cyinsect : There will be auto redeem if you buy the stock, don’t need pause it and redeem yourself. Unless you want cash out the money.
Moo_Rich : Thank you for sharing, may I know what difficulties you have encountered in using SmartSave? That could help us do better! Cuz once you activate SmartSave, your Cash Plus positions allow you to trade any other products without lag time.

I activated SmartSave. So during the trading day system buy Fullerton Cash Fund automatically.
In the night, say I want to buy a US dollar stock, I must first do currency exchange, cash to USD, but APP prompt me insufficient cash. I cannot trade without lag time.
Do you mean to tell me: I can just buy any other S$ denominated shares or funds without any lag?
Cyinsect HowTC_Invest : Yes, this applicable to both currency, but if you only have SGD but buy US share, I afraid you still need manual pause for manage currency change.
