Talk about “inflation” and “policy shifts”
The inflation data for October began to slow significantly, with CPI +7.7% yoy and core CPI +6.3% yoy, exceeding the market's consensus expectations. Although food (+0.6% month-on-month) and energy prices (+1.8% month-on-month) were still resilient in October; excluding food and energy prices, the core CPI growth rate slowed significantly from month to month. In October, the core CPI recorded +0.3% month-on-month, the lowest value since September 2021
