Which type of financial product generally carries less risk?
1) Will you adopt conservative investment strategies when the market fluctuates?
Yar . Idk, but I think it's stupid not to adjust ur portfolio when u had already DYODD & u are so confident in ur DYODD +. An investor need to be flexible & adapts to any changes suddenly = (Not to mentioned when the current conservative investment may earn much more at a less risk / no risk level ~)
2) How do you identify relatively low-risk financial products? What indicators do you usually use?
I get insight from some random "old birds" 🐦 & I also did a past history references of their products performance .
3) What are your favorite products at this stage? (Not limited to funds, bonds, insurance ......) How about the returns? Have they met your expectations?
Currently, MMF like $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund (SG9999005961.MF)$ & $CSOP USD Money Market Fund (SGXZ96797238.MF)$ is my favourite . I'm looking at stock market opportunities & parking my idling cash in the MMF to earn some extra interest (Had reduced my large exposure to the current stock market risk). Not to mentioned, I'd reluctantly activated SmartSave recently to retain my buying power even after investing in the MMF .
Yar, I got lured into the bloody trap 🪤 (1.5k points) promotion. This is why, promotions are important for moomoo, $Futu Holdings Ltd (FUTU.US)$ . Previous, Mootaverse event period also got the promo for 1k points + 1 attempt for quiz but I never activate it as the points reward are too low . Even this 1.5k point reward also seem quite low & I'd to think for quite a long time (Better check check more carefully 1st about the T&Cs ) before activating it as SmartSave seem not that beneficial for margin traders (Planning to explore into margin trading in the future...). Hmm..., if it's a 10k points reward = no need think, instantly activate =. But, 1.5k point reward...= meh +.

I also heard about SSB which has very high interest rate of return & Singapore T-Bill too.
I'm interested in both of them. However, are limited so..., chosen MMF as my favourite as I don't wanna miss a possible stock market crash opportunity (can mobilise my more easily) = I'm risking away my slightly higher interest rate to time the market . Also, I can use very small amount for swing trading . Having that said, we won't know if there will be a market crash in 2023. So, if u invested in 6mth T-bill that time, "maybe" it will be just nice +. Market is so volatile & kept being so overvalued to me .
Welp, MMF return is better than I expected due to the FED rising interest rate . However, if it's able to hit 4% = wowheheh . Actually u can hit for +5% return (not possible for me ) for 6mth due to this moomoo promo : Join me, get guaranteed 5%*p.a. on Moomoo!
Though, if u are a new user (1st time signing up), I think u are instantly qualified for the 5% for signing up .

Milk The Cow OP : By the way, SmartSave is only suitable for conservative investors = buy on what u can only affort .
So, it does not really matter for me now (yet to explore into margin trading).
However, if I explore more into margin trading, I don't think it is suitable...
Milk The Cow OP : After activating SmartSave & testing it, I then realised that it's ... 100% not smart at all !!! In fact, it's totally stupid & useless !!!
It can't be use with GTC place order = even though the order has not been executed yet, it already auto redeemed back the required . Wth ?! Then what the use of having able to retain the buying power? I also can do the redeeming back manually if I want to...
Is it a glitch?!
Pui, useless piece of junk !!!
Moomoo Lily : Dear mooer, sorry for the inconvenience. The advice has been forwarded to the related team and they are working on it,and will keep you updated. And also you could leave your feedback here: settings-about-feedback.
Milk The Cow OP Moomoo Lily :
tiaaaammmo : About the bug u mentioned, they say it will be fixed this month, due December 15th. And using the smart save function, money fund holdings are also counted as purchasing power.
Milk The Cow OP tiaaaammmo : ic, ty.
I know that the buying power is counted but what's the point of it redeeming & causing interest lost... = it's no different from not activating smartsave & doing it manually...
Milk The Cow OP Milk The Cow OP : We'd given 1hr of freely daily access to our account checking (privacy) & of course we want something good back.
Milk The Cow OP : OK, the SmartSave is... even more dumb than I thought . My place order is auto cancelled & it auto go redeem the sum of trading fee...
Day by day, I'd realised how dumb the smartsave is...
qq
On the note , I'd DYODD & in the past I commented that even after pausing ur smartsave, it will still redeem for any deficit in the trading account & that is totally correct. I'd paused it & it still auto redeem which claimed do is a 'deficit'...
Can I deactivate the whole smartsave? Not pausing...
Milk The Cow OP Milk The Cow OP : The time auto cancelled trade is around 10am sgt.
Checking for any deficit is 7-8am sgt.
The human me is even more smarter in debugging than the smartsave stupidly auto redeeming for any 'deficit'... & for some reason, me doing it for free...?
Joker: "If u good at something, never do it for free."
Milk The Cow OP Milk The Cow OP : oh, is around 9 am*.
Maybe because of us daylight saving.
