  • RIPPER OP : Which one?  Thankfully everything has worked out perfect… Profited nicely from the others And still in COMS and VIVK. Actually the only one that screwed me is HLBZ just a small loss

  • Newbee4 : Thank you for sharing a heads up on when to jump into a good stock. I need to figure out when I should sell when the run is over. Any suggestions?

  • RIPPER OP Newbee4 : Which? VIVK?

  • Newbee4 RIPPER OP : Actually, I was referring to any and all. I'm really new at this and learn by consistency.  Unfortunately, I have found nothing to be consistent.  I have held on to position's way too long and lost all profits.  I have also sold way too early when I see stocks going way down only to see them soar.  I was just curious if there was a way to tell when to jump in and jump out at the right time. Thank you for responding

  • RIPPER OP Newbee4 : No easy answEr to that questions. 1000’s of hours of watching charts., learning to read them like one reads a book.

  • Newbee4 : I was afraid of that. Thank you

  • 73055714 Newbee4 : If I leave too soon, I always gotta tell myself this "gains are gains" no matter how much it was. If it's not a loss then it's a good day. My boyfriend and a work friend repeat to me that phrase when they see me looking all upsetti-spaghetti at my stocks. They ask "did you lose money?!" and if I say "no, but-" .... "GAINS ARE GAINS"

Snowball your gains to the point that even a day of just 5% gains gives you hundreds. 💪

  • Giovanni Ayala : ✅✅

  • Giovanni Ayala : You Gotta have the Energy to do things like this 🤓

  • MooMamaLlama Newbee4 : I too have cut loose too early, held on too long, or watched profit just evaporate or reverse.  But a gain of any size, even 0,  is not a loss as @Marina Moooooorales said.
I try and remember to Win or Learn.  If you do lose financially take that lesson hard.. I had made some good % returns on quick trades in HK market early 2022. At the time, hk was in overdrive coming out of lockdowns. Hourly or minute charts were great to pick a good entry and exit point. (when to buy in and sell out).
Not the same rule applies to everything. I learned I wasnt always right, even when I was 'right' sometimes it was just a lucky run. Sometimes when I was wrong I didn't always lose money, sometimes I got lucky on a dip, or I was wrong on the Fundamental Analysis and the Tech. Analysis and lost $. Or what I still think should have been right and grown has lost $ due to poor entry point. If you don't win, learn from it😆
I like consistency as well, its how I learn. The market isn't going to tell you by share price what something is worth therefore I can't always tell if my hunches are correct by whether or not I'm in profit, as that could change overnight.
IAs @Ripper1986said "zoom out". Weekly charts or longer can be a greater source of information. Personally I use them all

But there are some great opportunities because of these market swings, and some great swing traders using Technical Analysis on Moomoo that will share knowledge on what to look for. Some great investors that go by Fundamental Analysis as well that have good stock knowledge are also sharing on here.
if you've just started and haven't wiped out this year you're doing ok!! No one can know the very bottom or top of a price. You can use Analysis to tell you what it SHOULD be but if there is any news or deals going on the sentiment alone can swing the price drastically.
So follow Analysis but also follow your gut 😉
