I was born in Michigan in 1988, graduated high school in 2007 and started investing in 2012. Here's a little about my investing journey.
Investing story: Read, Study, and learn. Don't go into any kind of market blindly like I did.
When and why did you start investing?
When I moved to Kissimmee Florida and that is where I made my first investment and that was on an American Eagle silver coin. I learned about investing in commodities and watching the charts there and never thought about investing into the stock market at the time.
2021 Bitcoin was getting more popular and my brother Mark was the one who showed me it. At that point, I cut back on investing in commodities and started investing in cryptocurrency, mainly ETH. I started investing at the wrong time because BTC and ETH along with all the rest of crypto was almost to its all time high and the prices started to decend without going back towhere they once were. 6 months later, I decided to try my luck in the stock market. I was looking for the best trading platform to download to start investing and that's when I found moomoo.
How was your first investment?
Unfortunately all 3 times I started investing I picked the wrong times to start. Silver reached $35 an ounce before it started to descend in price. I started when the price was at $32 per ounce. ETH was priced at $2,400 when I started to invest in that and it reached $4,811 at its all-time high price, then sharply turned around and came crashing down.
The first stock I seriously started investing was AMC at $47.18 per share until it got as high as $52.79. I didn't know $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ was on a long downwards trend at the time, but eventually found that out. Although my timing was bad every time I learned to hold and not sell.

What kind of investor are you?
I'm a 33 year old AMC ape with a high risk appetite. Becoming an AMC APE was easy for me because holding and not selling was already in-grained in me because of my bad timing. So I was an APE before I knew it, but the AMC community on moomoo helped me realize it.
Where did you start on your quest for investing knowledge?
I started my quest for investing knowledge when I installed Moomoo on my phone back in 2020. We had the stimulus money from the pandemic then, so with the extra money on hand I thought I would start investing.
Joining at that time was a good way for me to learn how to handle losing money well since ever since then we've been in a bear market. I handle by not selling. I hold and I buy more when I can. I'm also reading about other companys. I'm not yet invested in to figure out where else to invest.
How do you describe a successful investment?
A successful investment is one that makes you money. You could invest in a successful company but you could invest wrong and lose money by buying and selling at the wrong time. A successful investment is different than a successful company. Most of the time, in order to have a successful investment, you need to do research.
Words for newcomers
Read, study, and learn.
1. Don't go into any kind of market blind like I did. I could have had alot better return rates if I would have done those 3 things first. Know what you're investing into, look at patterns and read news about your future investments.
2. Also read books about investing. I'll insert a picture of some good books I'm reading that I would recommend reading.
3. Be patient, Warren Buffett has a saying that says "The Stock market is a device to transfer money from the impatient to the patient."

Why moomoo?
Moomoo has a great community, great classes to learn from, long trading hours, rewards to keep you active on the app. It has been my first and only trading app for the stock market and I'll be here a while.
