Investing in China company a yay or nay?

Is Chinese company a yay or a nay? Which stocks are worth watching/holding?
As mentioned in my previous post in the topic titled "Investor pile into China stocks" about investing in China stocks, I have 3 reasons why I didn't invest in China stocks:
1. The negative impact caused by Evergrand. I forsee a economy meltdown in the China property market.
2. Zero-tolerance COVID-19 policy fence off foreign investment and hurt the China economy
3. US and Western allies military and economical confrontation with China. Sanction against China may happen if it directly or indirectly support Russia in the Ukraine-Russian war or conflicts happen in North Korea and Taiwan.
Based on the current news, there are signs that issues #1 and #2 are easing. But the issue #3 still exist and with the Republicans controlling the House of Representatives, US-China relationship remains at all time low and the risk of decoupling from China economy still exist if not worsen.
Having said that, I think investing in China stock is still optimistic because there are great potential in certain stocks or sectors. When attended the recent seminar organised by Moomoo "Investment Outlook 2023 - Bull or Bear", l found a different perspective. In the coming year, digitisation, healthcare and energy sectors are emerging fast globally and in China.
For long term, if you want to invest in China, mutual fund is recommended with lesser volatility and more stable earning such as
$Allianz China A Shares (LU1997245177.MF)$
For greater risk appetite, you may want to consider ETF such as
$UOBAM PINGAN CHINEXT US$ (CXU.SG)$
Please do your own due diligence before investing (not financial advice).

  • whqqq : Why conflict with North Korea? [undefined]

  • ZnWC OP whqqq : If you recalled the Korean war in the 50's. When North Korea invaded the South, US (and the allies) and China were  drawn into the conflict. Currently there is a very high risk similar thing may happen due to the missile testing and sanctions against North Korea not to mention nuclear weapon possessed by North Korea.

  • whqqq ZnWC OP : I learned the history that the United States invaded North Korea

  • ZnWC OP whqqq : Obviously you know the Korean War well. Currently N Korea possess nuclear bomb and missiles that can hit as far as Japan. This distabilise the balance of power in the region. Hence China and US may be drawn into conflict again. And that's bad for the stock market.

I reflected trading experiences by writing journals. My comments are for educational purposes not financial advice.
