Where I park my idle cash to beat inflation... 😼
1) Will you adopt conservative investment strategies when the market fluctuates?
I prefer diversification in term of risk:
10% very high risk (long term)
20% moderate risk (mid term)
70% low risk and stable (short term)
Weightage maybe adjusted depending on market condition.
2) How do you identify relatively low-risk financial products? What indicators do you usually use?
1. For fund, I look for 7-d positive yield
$Fullerton SGD Cash Fund(SG9999005961.MF$
$CSOP USD Money Market Fund(SGXZ96797238.MF$
2. Positive return government bonds
(may have holding period of 6 months):
SSB Singapore Saving Bond
SGS Singapore Government Securities
T-bill Treasury bill

3) What are your favorite products at this stage? (Not limited to funds, bonds, insurance ......) How about the returns? Have they met your expectations?
Expected return: 3-4% 7-d yield
Cash plus fund or MMF especially those that can use Moomoo's cash coupon to earn extra income and relatively short lock up period. Some funds may need T+5 days to redeem.
Funds with 7-d positive return other than cash plus:
$BNP Paribas USD Money Market(LU0012186622.MF$
I prefer diversification in term of risk:
10% very high risk (long term)
20% moderate risk (mid term)
70% low risk and stable (short term)

I don't like long lock up period as I may need cash to buy shares/options when the market rally

YH PANG : $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund (SG9999005961.MF)$ Which is better compared to OCBC 360
ZnWC OP YH PANG : OCBC 360 is it a credit card rebate or fund. What's the return rate? l prefer Moomoo cash plus because it has T+0 days redeem, can invest immediately after redeemed T+2 days if you want to withdraw as cash.
Cui Nyonya Kueh : thank you for sharing very helpful
Cui Nyonya Kueh : do you think $CSOP USD Money Market Fund (SGXZ96797238.MF)$ is better than the other two you suggested?
ZnWC OP Cui Nyonya Kueh : You're welcome
ZnWC OP Cui Nyonya Kueh : $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund (SG9999005961.MF)$ $CSOP USD Money Market Fund (SGXZ96797238.MF)$
These 2 fund redeem period is T+0 can invest other immediately after redeemed. Personally if you don't mind money hold for few more days, all 4 funds are quite the same. Another consideration is loss due to SGD - USD conversion. I prefer to invest in SGD.
