Moomoo Buddy : Dear valued customer, Please refer to the following two situations that may lead to automatic fund redemption:
1: If you have short positions, changes in the market value of the short positions may result in margin interest on your account. When your account "short positions market value is greater than cash balance", in order to avoid margin interest in your account, SmartSave will also initiate automatic redemption.
2: Automatic redemption will also be activated when your account has insufficient "settled cash". For example: Stocks are settled on T+2 trading days, and options are settled on T+1 trading day. Suppose you sell the stock today to get 10,000 cash, and use the 10,000 cash to trade options on the same day; because the option transaction is settled one day earlier than the stock transaction, your account will have "enough cash" but insufficient "settled cash". In this case, margin interest will be generated on the T+1 trading day.
