Fed raised interest rate by 50bp but dot plot got worse
The fed announced a 50bp rate hike which is what market expected but the dot plot gotten worse
In September's dot plot (image 2), 5% was the ceiling of interest rate for 2023 but today fed announce that the ceiling for interest rate in 2023 might go up to 5.75% (image 1). 5% T-bill here we goooooo, but then housing loan interest rate might be going up too

doctorpot1 OP philosophical Fox_51 : if 50bp only without the worsening dot plot, market would have had rally up... but the dot plot haix every time it got worse, market tend to drop cause interest rate going to go up even higher... why risk in stock when you can get guaranteed 5.5% in tbill right? so stock price might fall as investors start putting into tbills, banks interest rate will generally go up too..

RIPPER doctorpot1 OP : I can’t imagine…..the only thing I'm happy about is buying at the right time. I don’t want to be a downer bud I can’t imagine even thinking about buying a first home right now or anytime in the foreseen future. This this is me off beyond belief simply because does anybody actually have any idea how much all of this is going to set back the country? Something as simple as buying a first home is a steppingstone in life and without that stone available in front of you to even try to jump on, all sorts of generational progress is going to be delayed… And I say this in a deep way… This will have long lasting generational effects
doctorpot1 OP RIPPER : I heard the US housing prices are starting to crash right? Like drop 30% a few months back. Maybe in 2023 when recession hits, housing might crash hard and become affordable again, but the mortgage will be painful
I don’t foresee the high interest rate to linger on forever, I think politician will want to lower it as soon as it can so that the economy will grow quickly and they will claim the credit and secure another term. Let‘s see how this plays out
RIPPER doctorpot1 OP : After a wave or 2 of future foreclosures… We will see what happens. We are not there yet but I expect foreclosures will be talked about frequently within the next six months
