Let’s talk about the issue of potential delisting of Chinese companies traded in the US.
I am inclined to think that most companies will pass the audits by PCAOB with little issues.
Firstly, majority of them have the big Four accounting firms as their accountants. They should be familiar with the standard expected.
Secondly, the SEC would have much to lose if these companies are delisted.
Thirdly, any delisting will be viewed as politically motivated , some thing that the US government and CCP would want to avoid now that the two Gs are trying to the repair their souring relations over the past year.
Should there be any delisting, the impact on these companies share price will be bad but transitory, since most already have plans for primary listing elsewhere.
Opinions welcomed but please refrain from being nasty.
