U.S. stock futures rose ahead of fresh data on consumer confidence and the housing market.
News Highlights

$Nike(NKE.US)$'s stock spiked more than 12% in extended trading Tuesday after the sporting-goods retailer reported early holiday earnings and sales are tracking solidly higher than Wall Street expected, though inventories remain high and a forecast could still loom. The company's option volume was nearly 230,000 yesterday, over four times higher than the daily average, and puts accounted for over 60%.
$Ford Motor (F.US)$ has a legal hearing set to start Monday related to a product liability case that resulted in a $1.7 billion punitive award against the auto maker. Investors seem to be a little nervous about the Georgia case. They probably don't need to be -- yet.
