How do high-interest rates combat inflation?
For example, a 1-year treasury bond is offering ~5% yield. Does that mean one year later, inflation is going to get worse?
Looks like to me it only delays inflation... I wasn't able to find an answer on google on this topic...
What are the long-term effects of high-interest rates? U.S. debt is already sky high...

placid Armadillo_478 : high interest rates make it more expensive for people to get loans so when people have less buying power, they will spend less.
