With Turkey in the grip of hyper inflation and inflation it would be a great time to step in and setup shop. Large labor pool and probably the most friendly Arab country to Non-Arab countries. Was a big time ally of the United States, but the Biden administration’s lack of diplomacy and outright trustworthiness have weakened those ties. Remember in Operation Desert Storm the Turkish government allowed us to route Tomahawk Cruise Missiles and Stealth Bombers though its airspace. That would not happen today. This move would set China up closer to buying oil in yen and having a closer relationship with other countries in the region and thus more influence. It’s a master stroke of both diplomatic and economic benefit for both parties involved. It’s a win-win for everyone except the United States who will look back at this as a missed opportunity and a loss of a friend and partner in the Middle East. Smh.
