Options Market Statistics (1/13): Traders Buy High Volume of Carvana Call Options
Stock futures declined Friday as major banks reported results, part of a crucial earnings season that will shed light on how a slowing economy is impacting U.S. companies.
Shares of major Wall Street banks including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo were lower in premarket trading Friday, after the lenders issued fourth-quarter results. Among other things, the results offer clues on how a cooling economy is impacting U.S. households and businesses.

$Bed Bath & Beyond Inc(BBBY.US)$ stock skyrocketed more than 50% on Thursday, closing at $5.24, as retail traders pile back into the popular meme stock. Option volume of the company topped 1.32 million, over six times the daily average, and call accounted for nearly 66.5% of the volume.
$Carvana (CVNA.US)$ surged 46% yesterday amid volatility in high short-interest stocks, with option volume of 520,000, and calls accounted for nearly 53.7% of the volume. The 6 puts expiring this Friday and the 10 calls expiring Jan 20 led the flow with options volume of 41,669 and 34,093, respectively.
$Logitech International (LOGI.US)$ plunged nearly 17%, with calls slightly more than puts. The 70 calls expiring Jan 20 were traded actively with an option volume of 838.
$Tesla(TSLA.US)$cut prices for some of its vehicles sold in the U.S. by nearly 20%, aiming to lure new buyers at a time Wall Street is concerned appetite for the car maker's vehicles is weakening. $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ shares edged higher yesterday, with option volume of nearly 2.88 million, and puts accounted for nearly 51.7% of the volume.
