2023: New Year, New Opportunities

Talking about Feng Shui, it reminds me of the fountain of wealth located at the heart of Suntec City, own by $Suntec Reit (T82U.SG)$ . It is a symbol of wealth and if one encircling the fountain clockwise three times, stretching out the right hand over the water and make a silent wish, wonders will unfold (*1).

Also, during Lunar New Year, red envelopes with gold calligraphy, filled with fresh new notes are given to loved ones so as to ward off bad luck. In ancient times, new bright and shiny gold coins are used as it flashes in darkness to scare away evil spirits (*2, *3). That's also one of the reasons why long queues can be found at many banks, such as $DBS (D05.SG)$ , $OCBC Bank (O39.SG)$ and $UOB (U11.SG)$ , which people queue for new notes and new red packets (*4).
