Options Market Statistics (2/1): Meta Options Traders Betting On Stock Jumping At Least This Much

$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD.US)$ reported fourth-quarter results Tuesday that came in above expectations as strong EPYC server processor sales and contributions from the Xilinx unit helped offset the steep plunge in client sales and modest declines in gaming processor sales. AMD jumped nearly 4% yesterday, with option volume of nearly 600,000, up 50% from the daily average, and calls accounted for 54.3% of the volume.

$Amazon(AMZN.US)$ rose 2.57% yesterday, with option volume of nearly 600,000, and calls account for more than 70% of the volume. The 140.00 calls expiring March 17 were traded most actively.

$Meta Platforms(META.US)$ is all set to report its latest quarterly earnings after the closing bell on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023. On CNBC's "Options Action," Mike Khouw of Optimize Advisors said options markets are implying a move of much larger than 10% by the end of the week. There were 1.5x more calls than puts on Tuesday. There was a buyer of 1,700 of the March 160/196.5 calls at an average price of $3.90 per contract, Khouw mentioned, according to Benzinga.
