razo2 : don't be too confident yet. meta is the most weak performer among the tech. they have no existence in data center, difficulty in user growth in younger generation due to tick tock, lose to Google for YouTube and contents, lack of integration to other platforms due to privacy control. doesn't explain why a company with 41 billion cash will throw 40 billion in buyback, due to desperation? also mark is looking to fire more people.

razo2 Barbaric Bok Bok : alot of tech company scared their stock collapse, so usually they announce buybacks to attract people to hold the stock. we need to remember fundamentals, today is still a 25 rate hike in which 2008 people will be tits purple about it. we have not reach terminal rate 5.2% yet as per December FOMC mom. inflation can only be killed by demand destruction by interest rate hike above the inflation for a prolong period of time. also bare in mind we have US 31.5 trillion debt ceiling issue that JP been avoiding the question. china being a catalyst to sell US bonds as well fuel the debt ceiling problem. as interest rate hike take a toll into company earnings, companies expect a recession at terminal rate.
