Australia's $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ closed 0.5% lower at 7504.1 with most sectors finishing in the red after the RBA's ninth consecutive increase in interest rates, and signal for more ahead.
Property trusts and healthcare were the biggest losers falling 1.6% and 1.4% respectively.
$ARB Corp Ltd (ARB.AU)$ was the day's worst performing stock, falling 12% amid a ratings downgrade. Supermarkets $Coles Group Ltd (COL.AU)$ and $Woolworths Group Ltd (WOW.AU)$ lost ground, declining 0.9% and 1.2% respectively.
$Macquarie Group Ltd (MQG.AU)$ gained 0.7% after it said its net profit was up slightly in FY 2023 so far, boosted by strength in its commodities unit. $Transurban Group (TCL.AU)$ gave up 0.6% on news of the planned departure of its CEO.
