California's Miserable Landlords
If you work as a landlord in California, what else can you do when tenants have defaulted on rent for three years during COVID-19 and can't be lawfully evicted?
That is, as soon as the protection order expires, the Airbnb will rent for a short time after eviction.
Now, let's go to hell with all kinds of restrictions on long-term leases, all kinds of rent control and tenant rights. I'm willing to let Airbnb take advantage of it, and I don't want my hard earned money to be hacked by the lowest level yet most protected tenants.
Let's all wait. The Democratic Party's increasingly excessive tenant protection regulations will only make more and more landlords choose short-term rentals over long-term leases. I hope Airbnb can make a difference in the Democratic Party.
