Matthew D _Franco OP : Hmm you think that earnings is going to be bad? Im expecting a nice rebound back to 150s after earnings to gain back investor confidence in the China’s economy. But puts are always a smart way to hedge.
_Franco OP Matthew D : not bad, just not enough to raise it like that ($150) like you mentioned. I'm expecting BABA to dip below $100 this week, then rebound to around $110-113, then a 5% drop after earnings.
I don't expect significant moves from any sector in the short term. I will be buying mostly puts until the summer, then I'll ease into buying call options with an expiration of next year.
current plan is to cash in any CPI report drop that may happen tomorrow. I'm going to get calls for the company Cisco. After that happens, I'm going to buy calls for Google and Alibaba for the week just to switch it to puts after it has risen a decent amount.
