Recall or Software update?
Tesla $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ disagrees with agency (NHTSA)... software updated over the air...
Business News (17 February 2023):
"The agency alerted the company last month. Tesla said it would fix the problem out of an abundance of caution, while disagreeing with the agency.
Tesla identified 18 incidents over three years that may have been down to the software flaw, the NHTSA said, but has not found any injuries or deaths resulting from it. The issue will be fixed with a free software update delivered over the internet..."

Elon Musk doesn't agree with the term "recall", it's a software update. He replied in a tweet on 16 February 2023.

It just showed how a negative news headline - use "recall" instead of "software update" can manipulate a stock price in a short time. Hence I always highlight the importance to be critical when reading internet articles - read both sides, positive and negative reports.
