had bought some REITs earlier with the aim of getting regular passive dividend income but when the interest rates went up, REITs prices started falling to match their higher investment risks over the T-bills and fixed deposits interest rates which had risen and my principal losses now exceeded the dividends I received and so I'm in the red sitting on paper loss..
nevertheless we see that they have started to recover slightly in the last couple of months in the possibility of Fed tapering their rate hikes and the recent results reporting showed that the impact is being contained somewhat with the REIT managers putting more debts (>70%) on fixed rates and passing on some of the inflationary costs to the tenants..
with the Fed looking to end their interest rates increases this year, my opinion is that the REITs performance will bottom out and hopefully the dividends will be able to compensate for those principal losses and bring my REITs portfolio back to green again..
are you vested in REITs? if yes, are you planning to add more? please share your views on the comments..

Yes I am vested and losing also, Singapore reits should be resilient enough to pass through this interest rate hike storm. Now I am holding it for the long term dividend without looking much at the price movement.

snoopy123 OP Kaka Tan : thx for sharing. think it's good to just hold them (collect dividends) and look out for opportunities to DCA..![undefined [undefined]](https://static.moomoo.com/nnq/emoji/static/image/default/default-black.png?imageMogr2/thumbnail/36x36)
Go To The Moon : I sold some of my REIT . Only left with this. Thinking no more Singapore stocks. It too slow. Not sure what the other feel?
