disassembly line 71634509 OP : pattern day trading prevents a retail investor from being able to "behave" like a normal day trader during actual market circumstances. this is, to quote, "in order to protect the retain investor". much like short sale restrictions (which mean nothing and are easy to work around using darkpools), pattern day trading to a retail investor means you have 3 chances within 5 consecutive business days to not screw up. now measure this against billions of dollars.
