$Troika Media(TRKA.US)$ what is the point of having rules and regulations when there's always going to be exceptions to those? I'm thinking any stock being on the threshold list now is completely useless. no one ever enforces

I'm not following. could you explain why pattern day trading would have anything to do with the threshold list or any other rules for that matter that aren't enforced? I'm just trying to piece things together is all

:
pattern day trading prevents a retail investor from being able to "behave" like a normal day trader during actual market circumstances. this is, to quote, "in order to protect the retain investor". much like short sale restrictions (which mean nothing and are easy to work around using darkpools), pattern day trading to a retail investor means you have 3 chances within 5 consecutive business days to not screw up. now measure this against billions of dollars.

not trying to be right or bring up trivia, my bad if it came off like that. the market has rules which are inherently against you, me. most people on moomoo and robinhood and etc. retail investors have everything to lose (and i dont wanna say it like that, trust me). pattern day trading ensures this outcome if you dont have deep pockets. thats all.

Yeah, coming from BBBY which has been on RegSho for 30+ days this is totally useless. The whole system is corrupted. Can only hope for a buyout at this point.
FrankieSmilez : similar to the SSR rule, meaningless now a days
71634509 OP FrankieSmilez : and we would get prosecuted if roles were reversed lol. ain't that some shit.
disassembly line 71634509 OP : its called "pattern day trading" for a reason
