Microsoft discloses Teams has 280M MAUs as company launches new version
While unveiling a new version of its Teams messaging service, $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ disclosed on Monday that Teams now has 280M monthly active users.
"The new app is built on a foundation of speed, performance, flexibility, and intelligence—delivering up to two times faster performance while using 50 percent less memory so you can save time and collaborate more efficiently," Microsoft wrote in the post.
In addition, MSFT said it had "streamlined the user experience," making it easier and simpler for users to find everything in one place.
The 280M figure is up from 270M last January and 250M in July 2021. Slack, which competes with Teams and is owned by $Salesforce (CRM.US)$ , is reported to have roughly 20M active users.
