the best is yet to be

I'd go with Janus. but perhaps, my horizon is for the next few quarters. this is because Janus is the only one among the five with a higher stake in financials. the top two performing of AB and allspring lux funds are possibly due to their strong positionings in tech stocks (at least 40%) as compared to the rest . the third highest is only 20+%(Janus). but I'm going for Janus moving forth as the one holding potential because imo, tech stocks took a beating from 2022 and retrenchment started in 2023, hence, the subsequent earnings in the later quarters of 2023 might see less positive reports which may lead to a fall in both AB and Allspring lux funds. Financial stocks, on the other hand, have done well in the inflationary environment, an eg wld be the recent Bank of America's great earrings report where it surpassed all expectations. Janus, which has 20+% in tech and over 10% exposure to financials, the second highest exposure in its portfolio, may benefit then. thus, I feel that it holds good potential. One of the funds, the one giving a -0.1% ytd return has a 100% exposure to real estate which has seen a loss in consumer demand since the rate hikes. due to the higher loan rates for home mortgages. thus, I feel that this might be the reason for its loss in profits. however, I'd think this fund could pick up as housing becomes cheaper due to buyer demand drop and housing loan rates decrease . but this would still take some time before it is realised.
