Factors such as Tesla opening up part of its charging network will be key to boosting confidence in EVs.
Retail Investor : Swapping is not the future, unless you can enforce the same form factor for all batteries with all EV manufacturer.
bullrider_21 OP ZnWC : Other articles have mentioned swapping as the solution. Tesla opening up its charging stations will only increase the charging points slightly.
ZnWC Retail Investor : One more reason battery swapping is not practical.
ZnWC bullrider_21 OP : I didn't say. It was brought up by the article you posted.
bullrider_21 OP ZnWC : Similarly, charging is not practical unless you can use the same charger for all EVs.
bullrider_21 OP ZnWC : I mentioned swapping in the Nio article.
bullrider_21 OP ZnWC : That is 3,500 Tesla charging plugs compared to the total of 131,000 plugs in the U.S. That's a drop in the ocean.
ZnWC bullrider_21 OP : This is not stated in this article.
