Wozniak said that Musk had received a lot of money from him because he believed in Musk’s promises.
"I believed things he said! That a car would drive itself across the country by the end of 2016," Wozniak said.
Wozniak is not the only one who believes Tesla autopilot promises are “not even close to reality” or that it is “trying to kill you.” Shareholders of Tesla sued the automaker and Musk in Feb alleging that both overstated the effectiveness and safety of the company’s Autopilot and Full Self-Driving technologies.
Since 2016, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reportedly opened 40 crash investigations involving Tesla vehicles that may have been driven in Autopilot mode. These crashes also involved 19 deaths.

bullrider_21 OP decisive Crow_1603 : EV is not a focus for them. Wozniak criticized Musk, not as Apple co-founder, but as Musk's friend. There are at least 6 companies ahead of Tesla in Autonomous Vehicles now.
