Shareholder’s meeting.
$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ I listen/read EVERY piece of information, numbers and statistics about Tesla, So I mostly get bored at these meetings, hearing the same things being just repeated over and over. This time was no different BUT some VERY important information and pics were said. In order:
• Tesla’s real advantage will always be its manufacturing technology: 5 to 10 years ahead of any one else and constantly improving (faster than anyone else). Eventually, the competition will get near Tesla in specific parts, but Tesla won’t wait for them.
• The Optimus BOT will grow exponentially and its business size will be bigger than the cars (it means that Tesla will at least double its income with a product which is not a car).
• Confirmed share buyback as soon as the global conditions get better.
• Confirmed over 2 million run-rate before the end of the year (now 1,5 mil.)
• Competition ? The “competition” is NOT between EVs: until they take over the whole market, EVs grow taking shares from combustion engine cars (including hybrids).
• The Model Y will be the most sold car in the world by total revenue THIS year and also by units sold next year: not among EV cars, but among ALL cars sold IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.
• Tesla will soon announce the location of another Gigafactory (I suppose South Korea, but could be anywhere, for different reasons).
• Prices of commodities and services are getting significantly lower which bodes well for the cost-chain reduction and the increase in margin.
• Tesla will test some informative advertising on their cars being the safest the US national agency have ever tested.
• Twitter will soon be cash flow positive so Elon won’t need to finance it anymore (no stock selling) and with the new CEO, he will have much more time for Tesla.
THAT SAID, I espect the stock to keep having volatility, but nothing crazy at least until new numbers are out and until the government settles the debt ceiling issue (before June 1st OR we’re done 💀).
