Singapore Airlines ( $SIA (C6L.SG)$ ) has announced that it will be granting eligible "rank-and-file staff"employees a profit-sharing bonus of 6.65 months, along with a maximum ex-gratia bonus of 1.5 months as a reward for their hard work and sacrifices during the pandemic.
Singapore Airlines has announced significant financial improvements after releasing its results on Tuesday (May 16). The airline reported an increase in annual revenue by 133.42% to 17.775 billion SGD and achieved an operating profit of 2.692 billion SGD. This marks a turnaround from the previous fiscal year where they incurred a loss of 610 million SGD and experienced three consecutive years of losses. As a result, the group paid out a year-end dividend of 28% share after a hiatus of three years. Furthermore, thanks to strong demand, Singapore Airlines posted itshighest annual net profit in its 76-year history, indicating a full-year turnaround.
