AU Evening Wrap: ASX Adds 0.6%, Led by Financials, Tech Stocks

The technology and financials sector lifted the Australian sharemarket to a 0.6 per cent gain on Friday, with the $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ closing the week at 7279.5 points.

Enterprise software bellwether $Xero Ltd (XRO.AU)$ rose another 5.4 per cent to $108 to help the broader tech sector add 2.2 per cent.

$AUB Group Ltd (AUB.AU)$ climbed 5.9 per cent to $27.38 after completing a $150 million capital raising at $24 per share.

$Austal Ltd (ASB.AU)$ jumped 26 per cent to $2.01 after winning a contract worth up to $US3.2 billion ($4.8 billion) for detail design of the Auxiliary General Ocean Surveillance Ship T-AGOS 25 Class for the United States Navy.

Candle maker $Dusk Group Ltd (DSK.AU)$ dropped 18.8 per cent to $1.23 after saying it now expects pro forma EBIT to finish between $16 million and $17 million in financial 2023 on sales between $135 million and $137 million.
