AU Evening Wrap: ASX Rises 0.2%, Buoyed by Technology and Healthcare Stocks

The $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ rose 0.2 per cent, or 16.4 points to 7138.9 at market close, buoyed by technology and healthcare stocks.
Eight out of 11 sectors fell in the green at the finish line, with the technology sector performing the best – rallying 3.8 per cent.
$WiseTech Global Ltd (WTC.AU)$ shares jumped 5.2 per cent. $Xero Ltd (XRO.AU)$ jumped 4.2 per cent. $Nextdc Ltd (NXT.AU)$ added 3.5 per cent. $Technology One Ltd (TNE.AU)$ added 1.8 per cent.
Healthcare stocks finished higher, up 1 per cent. $CSL Ltd (CSL.AU)$ rose 1.1 per cent. $Pro Medicus Ltd (PME.AU)$ jumped 3.6 per cent. $Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corp Ltd (FPH.AU)$ increased 1.1 per cent.
Energy was still the worst-performing sector. $Woodside Energy Group Ltd (WDS.AU)$ shares fell 1.3 per cent. $Santos Ltd (STO.AU)$ lost 1.9 per cent. $Whitehaven Coal Ltd (WHC.AU)$ dropped 1.9 per cent. $Karoon Energy Ltd (KAR.AU)$ dropped 5.3 per cent. $Yancoal Australia Ltd (YAL.AU)$ shed 4.5 per cent.
$Paladin Energy Ltd (PDN.AU)$ was an exception, its shares rallied 9.4 per cent.
The major miners also recorded losses. $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ shares fell 1 per cent. $Rio Tinto Ltd (RIO.AU)$ dropped 1.5 per cent. $Mineral Resources Ltd (MIN.AU)$ retreated 2.7 per cent.
$Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (DMP.AU)$ shares tumbled 5.9 per cent after the company said it expects sales to fall below expectations for financial 2023.
