  • Terra : Big whales havent come yet

  • Terra : Just a couple of small timers offloading

  • Terra : When the big guys come, they will take it below $7 or else it is not worth their while

  • Terra : Anyway it is a bit late in the day to use this tactic. They need some time to scoop up cheap stocks at the end of the trading day.

  • Bull Run OP : If all uncles and aunties brave enough and buy up the dips, whales will be squeezed and lost till pants drop.

  • Terra : Anyone who has a sell limit of more than $4mil can be a whale depending on the volume of buying and selling interests in that particular day.

  • Terra : Just to share about MAS ruling - Short-selling is not banned in Singapore, but failure to settle a trade will earn penalties under the central depository clearing rules.
"Abusive" short-selling - for example, with the spread of false rumours - could also be prosecuted as market manipulation or deception under the Securities and Futures Act.

  • 101598972moneyloveme : I am sure those big whales already bought when SQ pricing still remain low at below 6. whatever the price now, the big whales still earn. just that they looking for opportunity to squeeze out induvidual investors by dumping so that they can buy more shares at cheaper price, n then pump up the price to 8 & above and sell off to make more profits

  • Bull Run OP Terra : Because the price stayed quite steady at 7.49~7.52 very long, no uncles and aunties panicking sell

  • Terra 101598972moneyloveme : Precisely. The whales have not come yet. When they are attacking, you will see big sell downs and dramatic pump ups. Not yet. There has to be a trigger i.e. news, events etc.
