JSR is trying to concentrate resources on the semiconductor materials business, such as selling the synthetic rubber elastomer business to ENEOS Holdings, but it was pointed out that “the scale of sales has become quite small.” However, I think the Japanese government will try to prevent the outflow of sensitive technology overseas. Japan has long been said to be strong in semiconductor materials, so there were also people who said that this move is part of the government strategy, and if it is a paving stone for making the supply chain into a national policy, there is a possibility that hydrogen fluoride, etc., which has been exported to South Korea, will also be targeted.
