HSBC Re-enters India Private Banking Business

$HSBC HOLDINGS(00005.HK)$ will re-enter the private banking business in India, targeting Indian professionals, entrepreneurs and their families with investable assets of over USD2 million.

India has overtaken China as the world's most populous country, and the number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (with investable assets over USD30 million) is expected to surge by 58% by 2027, the group said.
