Ice-breaking Point for Sino-US relationship ? “Not so soon”
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen's visit to China has been repeatedly mentioned over the past few months but has not materialized until today .
Coming shortly after Secretary of State Blinken's visit to China, Yellen's visit to China signifies the possibility improvement in the Sino-U.S. relationship, and it also indicates the efforts by both sides to “reactivate” the channels of communication.
There are people on the streets speculating that the main purpose of Yellen’s visit is to look for “buyer” to buy the US government’s bond.
In my opinion , as long as the tech-sanctions and the Taiwan’s problem are still in place , it is not realistic to foresee any material improvement among the two countries’ relationship,
