AU Evening Wrap: ASX Rebounds 1.5%; Megaport Surges 33.8%

The $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ closed up 1.5 per cent for its first up day in five amid broad gains led by the real estate, financials and technology sectors.

The best performer on the day was internet connectivity business $Megaport Ltd (MP1.AU)$, which soared 33.8 per cent after it upgraded EBITDA guidance for financial 2023 and told the market it expects an improved result in financial 2024.

Gold and lithium miners led the way higher, with $Evolution Mining Ltd (EVN.AU)$ up 4.6 per ent and $Liontown Resources Ltd (LTR.AU)$ adding 4.01 per cent and $Allkem Ltd (AKE.AU)$ surging 2.7 per cent. While online property portal $REA Group Ltd (REA.AU)$ also had a good day adding 3.3 per cent.
