Core CPI figure

Tonight is an important day with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures due before the market opens. The core CPI figure, in particular, is under close scrutiny. The market is expecting favorable numbers given the recent broad-based strengthening. There was a significant surge in new 52-week highs on yesterday’s close, and leadership seems to be shifting towards small and mid-cap stocks, which is a promising development for growth.
