Activision + Microsoft = 3rd largest gaming company coming?
This saga is slowly coming to an end.
Months ago, $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$announced that it is interested to buy over $Activision Blizzard (ATVI.US)$ for USD$ 69 billion, which is $95 per share, but the acquisition has faced opposition in the U.S. and abroad over concerns that it could stifle competition.
Both shares were up after a federal judge in San Francisco ruled in favor of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, which have been trying to complete their $68.7 billion deal by July 18
1. Safest opportunity to profit
Microsoft shares and business has been the GOAT recently. It has been firing all cylinders - AI, cybersecurity, and now gaming.
There is so much room for growth for this old-timer tech stock.
If the time horizon is long enough, this stock could do well with so many catalysts.
2. Arbitraging on Activision
As of the time of writing, ATVI is trading at USD90 per share. There is still a USD5 spread between the current price and the privatization price.
Considered it a 5.5% gain if the deal will go through.
